Since Sr John Charnley, invented this procedure in the nineteen sixties, more than forty million hips have been replaced world wide and have lasted for thirty years or longer. Making it a rewarding and extremely gratifying procedure, both for the patient and the surgeon.

The difference between a hip that last for thirty years and that which dislocates in two weeks, is essentially more dependent on the exactness of surgical technique, rather than the type of implant used or method of fixation employed.

The Book is written in a graphic novel format with 80% illustrations and 20% text. Dr.L.Prakash has shared his 35 years of experience as an arthroplasty surgeon in the Book as well as Videos, which will be helpful for anyone performing this fascinating surgery.
